Estimation of Energy Consumption of Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems


Abstract. Requirements for modern air conditioning systems must include a calculation of their power consumption for the entire summer. Manufacturer show characteristic SEER, which is an indicative value and does not reflect the actual energy consumption of air conditioning in buildings. The actual calculation is complicated by the multiplicity of input data: variable temperature and humidity of ambient air, the type of air conditioning system, the type of ventilation system. The proposed approach of estimation of the energy consumption takes into account all of these factors and provides objective indicators of energy consumption to compare different alternative designs of air conditioning.
